State Trooper
These police officers are like no ordinary officers they are special because they handled government and criminal cases.As of 2007 demographics of the New Jersey state police was male:97% female:3% white:85% African American:8% Hispanic:5% Asian:1% Native American:1%.There are more people becoming State Troopers than normal polices officers. Before becoming a State Trooper you have to have Associates degree or 60 credit hours from a recognized college, university or technical institute with major study preferably in criminal justice or the equivalent.They also have to take a physical agility test to see if you're healthy or not they do push-up, sit-ups, running a mile or two, etc.They also weight you to see how much you weight .After the physical test they also have to take a written test if candidates who obtain a score of 70% will be moved to the background check investigation and do a drug test. After the test they do a medical examination to see if you have anything wrong with you.You have to be a citizen of the Untied States and have perfect vision and hearing. They also have a tattoo policy where candidates can't have tattoos or piercings on their body.There are different ranks in this job, there are colonel/Superintendent, Lieutenant colonel, major, captain,Lieutenant, Sergeant first class/Det.SFC, Staff sergeant, sergeant/Det. Sgt,trooper 1/ Detective, and trooper 2/Detective.
